Shannon Ryan
CEO
By staying one-step ahead of Internet and technology trends, Shannon sets the vision and future direction for non~linear creations and leads strategy engagements for many of non-linear’s most senior clients. As president and co-founder, he is responsible for building non-linear creations into the multimillion-dollar company it is today. From concept to bottom-line impact, Shannon leverages the potential of the Internet by crafting strategies and solutions in the key areas of portals, intranets, social computing and enterprise search.
Shannon’s unique business experience offers clients more than expertise in web services. In senior roles before non-linear creations, Shannon raised USD $21.5 million in financing for a software analytics company, and recruited teams of developers from Russia and drove sales activities in Siberia for a US based software company in the oil and gas industry.
Shannon holds a B.A. in Soviet and Eastern European Studies from Carleton University and a Masters in International Business from the University of Vienna. An avid world traveler and art collector, Shannon can speak fluent Russian, passable German and restaurant French.
Randy Woods
President
Randy Woods is the co-founder and Executive Vice-President of NLC. He has over a decade of leadership experience in the development of corporate web strategies and implementation plans worldwide, applying a combination of business acumen, technical knowledge and marketing insight to the challenges faced by his clients.
Randy shares his insights and lessons learned through NLC’s Thought Leadership Series, in which he has published a number of whitepapers, including The NLC Performance Framework, Planning for Success: Best Practices in CMS Governance, and SEO and CMS: Implementing Best Practices. His professional experience includes the position of CEO at Buystream, where he managed the sale of the company’s technology assets and the re-birth of the core company as Western Energy.
Glen McInnis
Vice President, Delivery
With an educational background in computer science, Glen’s focus is on leading the non-linear team to deliver the technical architecture for a wide range of content management initiatives. Glen is the author of several non-linear whitepapers on content management including Sitecore Best Practices and Content Structures and Granularity.
Glen’s other contributions to the field include papers and presentations at a variety of conferences: International Association for Management of Technology, UNESCO Forum on Open Source Learning and Content Management Systems, and the Symposium on Semantic Web. Working in content management since 1999, Glen has had the opportunity to work for a wide range of clients and has completed over 30 content management projects. Some notables include web content management deployments of over one million pages, a records management deployment for the national criminal database, and a unified e-learning system deployed across Canada’s six top banks.
Amanda Shiga
Vice President, Digital
With over 10 years’ experience in web-based application development, Amanda leads the delivery of a wide range of content management solutions. Her interests lie in the intersection of technology and business strategy in the online space – in particular, helping clients re-align their web strategies to their business goals and helping them choose and implement the right technology to do so.
Amanda was recently designated as a Sitecore Most Valuable Professional (MVP), an award that recognizes exceptional technical community leaders from around the world. She holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and M.A.Sc. in Technology Innovation Management.
Molly Anglin
Vice President, Digital
As a senior member of the non-linear creations (NLC) Business Performance Group and the head of the NLC Information Architecture & User Experience team, Molly Anglin brings nine years of experience planning and managing large-scale web implementations. Molly possesses extensive knowledge of online marketing tactics, content management, website analytics, information architecture, and user-experience design.
Molly has a BCom, with a specialization in Marketing from McGill University and a certificate in Multi-Media and Web Technology from Algonquin College. Molly is always game for a round of extreme croquet and enjoys playing baroque recorder.
Joe Boughner
Director of Marketing
Joe Boughner has more than a decade of experience in a variety of strategic communications roles. As a senior member of non-linear creations’ strategic services team, Joe is responsible for helping clients understand the wide array of digital communications and marketing tools, tactics and channels available and integrate the best fits based on their needs and their audiences into their overall digital marketing strategies. Joe also teaches a course on social media for business at Ottawa’s Algonquin College
Prior to joining non~linear, Joe primarily worked on the client side in the government and non-profit sectors for groups as diverse as the Canadian Boreal Initiative and the Association of Canadian Financial Officers. He has an inexplicable love of the long-abandoned piece of punctuation known as the interrobang and was once a “celebrity” guest judge at a drag pageant.
